Procedures

Before Class

Upon entering the class quietly, go to your locker.  Put your coat, bookbag, and any other items in the locker and gather your necessary notes and books.  Go to your desk and take out any homework that is due, and organize the necessary items for the day (pens, pencils, notebook spirals, books).

Remember, in our class, we keep our hands to ourselves.

Beginning of Class

Look at the board and copy down the work assignments for the day, including tonight's homework.  This also the time for asking the teacher any questions you might have from yesterday's lessons.  Remember, I love questions!  If you don't ask me any questions, then I will ask you some.

Students whose turn it is will assume their daily job assignments (keeper of the lights, homework collector, line leader, etc.).

Remember, in our class, we keep our hands to ourselves.

During Class

Again, ask question!  First, don't ever feel embarrassed.  If you don't understand something, chances are there are several other students in the classroom who don't either.  Remember there is no worse feeling in the world than not understanding and feeling lost.  And if you don't understand what I just finished teaching, you won't be able to go on to the next topic.

If you need to use the bathroom you are permitted to do so.  You can not learn if you are squirming at your desk and hvae to go.  That said, if you abuse this priveledge (and I will know if you are), it will be taken away from you!

Respect what others have to say, wait your turn, and raise your hand.

Remember, in our class, we keep our hands to ourselves.

End of Class

Partner cross check to be sure that today's homework assignment has been correctly copied.

Pack the neccessary books for the evening homework into you book bag.

Stand at your desk side and move into line orderly as I call each row.

Remember, in our class, we keep our hands to ourselves.

Have a safe trip home and we'll see you tomorrow!
